Rules & Conditions

All walks are at your own risk

Whilst every effort is made to ensure accuracy, the time stated for each walk will always depend on the fitness and ability of the walkers and also the conditions on the day of the walk.

Assess your ability to complete the route taking into account the following information and remembering that these mountains are very rough

Co-ordinators can end the walk at their sole discretion and may choose not to start the walk if the weather forecast is not good. In times of bad weather, please telephone the co-ordinator to check on conditions.

Arrive at the meeting place in good time. Walks depart promptly at 10:00.

There are usually two walks on each walk day.

Each walk has been graded according to the grading rules (see below) and is colour coded (like ski runs) as follows:

green - easy

blue - moderate

red - moderately strenuous

black - strenuous

bold black - very strenuous

All walkers must have a current printed programme.
