Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers

 - Saturday 7th April: Mount Raya

Encouraged by reports that it was “only spitting” further north, a total of six people and one dog turned up for Jon Lyons’s walk, excluding Jon who has flu (GWS Jon). Christine and Ralph had agreed to lead the walk jointly, and we set off optimistically, but were soon engulfed in cloud.

After about an hour and a half four of us decided that, wet through and not being able to see anything, honour had been satisfied and we abandoned the walk.

Ralph and Bob carried on into the mist to the ridge…………………………never to be seen again!
