Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers

The CBMW is a group of people who get together twice a week to enjoy walking in the mountains of the Costa Blanca region of Spain.  Walkers who act as leaders are not formally trained or registered and take no responsibility for their companions - You walk at your own risk.  Whilst every effort is made to ensure accuracy, the time stated for each walk will always depend on the fitness and ability of the walkers and also the conditions on the day of the walk.

Anyone is welcome to come along.

We are not a registered/affiliated club and therefore have no membership, subscriptions or rules.
We do however ask everyone who walks with us to make an annual voluntary contribution towards the cost of our websites.  This year's contribution is 3 Euros per person.  A key ring with our logo will be given to those that contribute by way of both a receipt and a thank you.  These can be attached to your rucksack should you wish.

We do however a short list of Conventions which act as guidelines and hopefully are an aid to walkers and leaders alike. Everyone is required to read these Conventions as a condition for walking with us and for downloading each season's programme.

Sad News

I am sorry to announce that Di Amos died in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Di underwent a triple heart by-pass operation three weeks ago but failed to recover.

Our thoughts are with her husband Tony whom she met 53 years ago.

Di was fondly nicknamed “Hiawatha” or “Little Light Foot of the Orba Tribe”.

She was a keen walker who loved our mountains here and always enjoyed the company of her many friends in the group.  She will be remembered for her warm and sincere personality and of course her distinctive character and dress.

The funeral
took place at Denia Crematorium on Sunday 28 September.
