Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers

The CBMW is a group of people who get together twice a week to enjoy walking in the mountains of the Costa Blanca region of Spain.  Walkers who act as leaders are not formally trained or registered and take no responsibility for their companions - You walk at your own risk.  Whilst every effort is made to ensure accuracy, the time stated for each walk will always depend on the fitness and ability of the walkers and also the conditions on the day of the walk.

Anyone is welcome to come along.

We are not a registered/affiliated club and therefore have no membership, subscriptions or rules.
We do however ask everyone who walks with us to make an annual voluntary contribution towards the cost of our websites.  This year's contribution is 3 Euros per person.  A key ring with our logo will be given to those that contribute by way of both a receipt and a thank you.  These can be attached to your rucksack should you wish.

We do however a short list of Conventions which act as guidelines and hopefully are an aid to walkers and leaders alike. Everyone is required to read these Conventions as a condition for walking with us and for downloading each season's programme.

Help Required.

I have had an email from a lady coming for a weeks holiday in March (17-24). She is a keen walker and has been let down. She was meant to be on a guided walking holiday and she is staying at the Port Denia Hotel, but this has been cancelled. She is now on her own with no transport.

Would anyone be able to offer her a lift to the start of a walk on the 18th or 21st March. Also would anyone be willing to offer to perhaps take her out walking on another day. If so, please contact me and I will give you her details

Alan Jackson

We have to announce the sad news that Alan Jackson has died.  Alan had been suffering from cancer for a while.

Alan and Janice have been good company in the group and contributed to several summer programme functions.

We pass on our condolences to Janice and hope we shall see her some time in the future.
